Degrees

Although students apply to and enroll in the Department of Biology at IUPUI through Purdue University, West Lafayette, they can study with any mentor on the IUPUI campus to earn either an IU or Purdue degree.

Applications and Qualifications for Admission

Applications for graduate study in Regenerative Biology and medicine should be directed to the Department of Biology at IUPUI. We encourage applications from outstanding students majoring in any branch of the sciences, mathematics and engineering. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and preferably demonstrate good preparation in biological sciences, chemistry, physics and mathematics, but applicants with deficiencies in any of these areas can make up the deficiencies through available courses. The GPA for the highest degree presented should be at least 3.0 (or equivalent) on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must present the results of the GRE aptitude and analytical examinations.

Financial Support

Full-time MS and PhD students are eligible for financial support packages, including a stipend, tuition and fee remission, and student health insurance.
